What is Flight of the Butterflies?
The World Mission Centre is excited to announce a new delivery method for Live School!
Since its inception in 1989, World Mission Centre has become known for creating innovative strategies that mobilize the local church to evangelism, especially in the least reached parts of our world.
Live School is certainly the most revolutionary initiative of the WMC. Translated into 13 languages, Live School is used by over 24,000 believers in over 100 countries. These Live School students have planted thousands of churches and reached hundreds of thousands with the gospel. We are convinced that God wants to do much more.
Our goal by 2030 is to see 1,000,000 believers trained through Live School, so that many more can hear the gospel. Propelled by a word from the Lord— “put the school down without consequence,” we made the radical decision to make the Live School curriculum available for download, from anywhere in the world.
On May 18, 2021 our website, containing every Live School session, went live and believers can apply to start a live school online, download it, and track their progress by uploading their homework to receive certification and credit toward higher education.
We call this new delivery strategy “the Flight of the Butterflies”
As a butterfly covers great distances with speed and velocity, spreading pollen from flower to flower, so we pray Live School will migrate to every corner of the world.
As a part of the flight of the butterflies we have created the Monarch Project, designed to operate online in the countries where our regional teams do not.
Now, anyone can register and participate in Live School at their own pace by signing up as an individual in select countries. The Alpha version of the Monarch Project launched September 1, 2021 and is already working in 11 countries across Europe and Asia.
