In Acts 1:8 we read: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth". Jerusalem is representative of the city one lives in, Judea the country and Samaria the continent, and the ends of the earth speaks for itself. World Mission Centre(WMC) believes that it is the responsibility of the local church to be involved simultaneously in all four of these areas. Prayer as the starting point can iniciate the eventual sending out of trained missionaries from the Body Of Christ. WMC also believes that according to Matthew 24:14 the gospel must first be brought to all nations as a witness, before we will see Jesus returning for His bride!

In 1987, approximately 70 000 people were added to the Church of Christ. Today, between 200 000 and 250 000 are added yearly to the church worldwide. That makes it quite possible for us as Christians to preach the good news message to people who have never heard it before. That is indeed the command given in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Obedience to these last words of Jesus to His disciples holds great blessing.

In South Africa and all over the world, we see congregations praying and working together across church boundaries. The church is becoming a force to be reckoned with. But where will it end? "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" - Matthew 24:14.

We have been given the command, the people are working and the plan is ready!
