Kairos-Derived from the Greek word meaning special moments with God,

Kairos has been very instrumental in reaching the shoreline communities along Lake Malawi with the Gospel.
Being the product of a selfless obedience, between a business man, a local Church and the World Mission Centre, Kairos was first launched into the waters of the Lake Malawi in 2004.  Its mandate was to reach some of the secluded and difficult to reach people groups around the Livingstone Mountains, which isolate the coast for approximately 250 km. The only way of access to these regions is only via the lake itself.
We believe that we are called to “Declare His glory among the heathen and His wonders among all people.” Psalm 96:3
True to its name, the boat has endeavoured to carry the Gospel message of Gods’ saving grace in Christ to those living in this region.

Moving along the border of Mozambique and Tanzania, Kairos on Lake Malawi offers a very strategic opportunity to penetrate these communities that otherwise may never have had an opportunity to hear the Gospel.
Kairos Ministry Opportunities and Challenges
We believe in equipping and empowerment of the local peoples for optimum results. It is for this reason Kairos operates under the capable hands of local crew members. It has not been easy to find a local skipper, but plans are under way to train one of the crew members as a captain
The boat transports local and visiting mission teams to and from the shoreline communities where various ministry models are applied; from the Jesus film to personal contact in hut to hut ministry.

Good as it may sound; the Kairos Ministry is however in serious need of willing Churches and individuals that will financially and prayerfully invest a monthly, a once off or yearly donation to support this ministry.
These donations will go towards: The boat maintenance, boat mission outreaches/trips, crew support.

We are looking for crew members and people who may have technical and mechanical expertise, or calling to work on the boat. If you want to be part of this great boat ministry in any way, please contact Paul on +27 12 343 1165 or email paulo@liveschoolsa.org for further information.
