KAIROS
VISION
The boat, Kairos is being used on Lake Malawi to plant churches on the Eastern shores of Lake Malawi. Churches planted to date: 8
Some of the most difficult to reach people in Eastern Africa live on the Eastern shores of Lake Malawi. The reason for their seclusion is due to the Livingstone Mountains on the one side and the lake on the other. These mountains isolate the coast for approximately 250km. The only way to access the area is via the Lake. Hence the need for a boat to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to these lost communities.
We believe that we are called to “Declare His glory among the heathen and His wonders among all people"” Ps 96:3(c)
God gave a businessman from Plettenberg Bay the vision. He, with other visionaries built a boat within one year and handed it to World Mission Centre to partner with him and his local church to fulfill this vision.
The completed boat was launched on Lake Malawi during 2004 and transports Malwians accross the lake. Two churches have already been planted.
YOU CAN GET INVOLVED!
This vision can only be fulfilled if the body of Christ shares in it.
This is an excellent opportunity for you, your cell group and/or church to make a difference amongst a community who is in desperate need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Will you prayerfully consider committing yourself to this ministry?
