COMORIANS

They are a friendly and hospitable people. The Comorians living in the rural areas are mostly descendants of freed African slaves while those living in the cities are descendants from Arab nobility. Houses in the rural areas are made from banana and coconut leaves or from lava cemented with chalk and sand. People in the cities live in modern houses.
